Cute pictures of...Gemma,again!

She is a good little puppy who is growing quickly. Her hair is curly and thick. She plays really well with Paco; it funny to watch them!! I'll have to post some videos of them together. Allan took both of them outside to play on the grass today. Apparently it was super cute. Unfortunately he didn't have his cell phone on him to record it.

The first morning with GEMMA!

We have the puppy as of yesterday morning. She was very quiet and sleepy yesterday. Towards the evening she got more comfortable with us and enjoyed playing with her new chew toys and balls. Paco didn't really know what to think of her. Luckily he isn't mean, just trepidatious.

She was 8 weeks old as of Friday, March 2. She got her first set of shots on March 1. The vet weighed her at 5 pounds. She gained 3 lbs in 2 weeks!! Good for her!

Our first night together was rough. She slept for 2 hours really well then the crying set in. It was hard to listen to. We took her out to potty a few times with no luck. We decided she was just lonely. It's rough to go from a house full of puppies and other grown dogs to just yourself.

We took her to the family room and turned the tv on to watch Saturday Night Live. Allan went to bed after and I stayed in the family room to sleep with Gemma on the couch. I don't want her in our bed because it will become a habit. I can't sleep very well as it is, with Paco all over me :)

Wish us luck on the second night. Allan has to work tomorrow so it'll be all me. Fingers crossed!

Puppy!

We are so excited to bring home puppy this next weekend (March 3).  She and her siblings were born to a pure Bichon Frise. Mommy was rescued from a shelter so the father is unknown, however, she looks like some sort of spaniel to us.  I will post lots of pics and updates when she finally gets home! For now, here is a picture and a few videos we took when we first met her. At the bottom is a video of Paco trying out the puppy's new crate.
